Fashion Self Serve, a Toronto-based organization for emerging designers and models, wanted to elevate their brand and expand their reach within the fashion community. They initially approached us for event photography, but we saw an opportunity to go beyond capturing moments and create a complete brand experience.
We collaborated closely with Fashion Self Serve to develop a comprehensive rebranding strategy that included a striking visual identity, impactful photography and videography, and a cohesive social media presence. Our goal was to capture the edgy, inclusive, and empowering spirit of their community while showcasing the unique value they offer to designers and models. We navigated the backstage chaos, capturing stunning photos of models and designers in their element, and even documented an unexpected turn of events when an outdoor runway show had to be moved indoors due to rain. The team's quick thinking and adaptability resulted in a unique and memorable photoshoot in a hotel kitchen.
Creating a visual identity that captured the essence of Fashion Self Serve was crucial. We took a gamble by opting for an illustration of a French woman with a hat and purple lipstick, a departure from our usual logo design approach. But the client loved it, and it perfectly embodies the brand's chic and sophisticated personality.
The Fashion Self Serve project was a resounding success. The rebranding and marketing efforts led to increased social media engagement, new followers, and positive feedback from both models and designers. The events themselves were a hit, with several models being noticed and picked up by major agencies. Since the rebrand, Fashion Self Serve has seen a 35% increase in social media engagement and an 18% growth in their online following.
